 Surya Spinners
The textile industry in India has always played a major role in the country’s economic landscape, contributing a large part to its GDP. In recent years, the industry has been advancing rapidly, with multiple forces acting together to fuel its growth. Factors like rising domestic and global demand for sustainable and innovative textile products, supportive government policies and technological innovation and automation for enhancing the industry, and improved awareness about eco-conscious consumerism and sustainable fashion.
As demand for eco-conscious textiles rises, Surya Spinners is emerging as a pioneering force. Founded in 2010 in Vellakovil, Tiruppur District, Tamil Nadu, Surya Spinners has evolved from a modest spinning unit into one of India’s leading producers of premium recycled white and coloured yarns. The company has scaled up operations across two units, including Sri Rajalinkam Tex, driven by a mission to blend quality, innovation, and sustainability.
A Pioneer in Sustainable Yarn Solutions
With a robust infrastructure equipped with advanced Rieter R37 open-end spinning machines, Surya Spinners has achieved a production capacity of 8,500 tons annually and offers yarn counts from Ne 2s to Ne 40s, catering to both knitting and weaving sectors. At the heart of this growth is a commitment to eco-conscious manufacturing, making Surya Spinners a trendsetter in recycled and zero-dye yarn production.

Our Nature yarns embody this by leveraging waste cotton to create premium yarns and following zero-dye, low-energy production and 5S processes”, shares Sabapathy R, Founder, Surya Spinners.
Ensuring quality, the company focuses on monitoring every aspect from raw material procurement to the final yarn output, implementing multi-stage quality checks using cutting-edge testing tools. The processes include tests for yarn strength, uniformity and count accuracy, trash analysis and staple length, and twist and appearance testing, leading to consistent, high-grade yarns that meet both domestic and international market standards. Quality is further assured by investment in world-class infrastructure comprising automated tearing units, cleanroom-like spinning environments with electronic yarn cleaners, and a 12,500-bale storage facility and an efficient packaging line.
