Rajasthan Govt Unveils Semiconductor Policy for Growth
- Rajasthan’s Semiconductor Policy aims to build dedicated corridors with fast-track approvals and robust infrastructure
- It targets OSAT, ATMP, sensors, and fabless design to boost manufacturing and innovation
- Aligned with national missions, it seeks investment, jobs, and a strong role in India’s semiconductor growth
The Rajasthan government has unveiled the Rajasthan Semiconductor Policy with the objective of positioning the state as a key destination for semiconductor manufacturing and allied industries. The policy supports India's vision for technological self-reliance and economic stability through its connection to the increasing importance of semiconductors in digital systems, automation and national defense.
The policy plans to establish dedicated Priority Semiconductor Corridors which will include Jodhpur–Pali–Marwar and Kankani as initial sites while allowing for additional locations to be designated through suitability assessments.
The corridors provide expedited land distribution services together with full utility construction support and unified permitting processes. The state intends to improve project execution speed and build investor trust through its system which simplifies permission processes and infrastructure accessibility.
The policy aims to attract OSAT and ATMP facility investment while drawing sensor and electronics manufacturing unit investments. The state of Rajasthan intends to establish a fabless semiconductor design ecosystem which will drive innovation and create intellectual property while generating economic value for the state.
