Mitsui E&S Co., Ltd., which operates in Tokyo together with its German partner TGE Marine Gas Engineering GmbH, are currently negotiating potential agreements to deliver marine engines for use in Indian shipyards which play a crucial role in India's shipbuilding industry development plans.

A high-level delegation from both companies is currently visiting India to assess the state of the Indian shipbuilding sector, evaluate market prospects, and identify potential areas for collaboration, according to a source familiar with the visit.

Mitsui E&S operates as a major Japanese heavy-industrial company that develops high-value marine equipment which includes engines and automated gantry cranes while the company holds 90 percent of Japan's gantry crane industry market share.

TGE Marine Gas Engineering is a leading engineering services provider focused on the design and supply of gas carriers, fuel gas systems, and offshore units.

The visiting team from Mitsui E&S includes Yusuke Sakimoto, Executive Officer and General Manager of the Marine Propulsion System Division; Hiroyuki Taguchi, Assistant Manager of Marketing, Planning & Administration; Takuya Furumura, Sales Department, India Market Representative; and Minhazul Miazi, Business Coordinator, Marine Propulsion System Division. TGE Marine Gas Engineering is represented by Nielsen Jakob, Sales Director, and Max Fröhlich, Sales Manager, Sales and Marketing Division.

TGE Marine Gas Engineering has two representatives, Nielsen Jakob, who holds the position of Sales Director and Max Fröhlich, who serves as Sales Manager of the Sales and Marketing Division.

The delegation conducted their visit to meet with officials from the Ministry of Ports, Shipping and Waterways and the Shipyards Association of India in New Delhi. The group will spend the next two days visiting Cochin Shipyard and Swan Defence and Heavy Industries Ltd.

The delegation aims to assess collaboration possibilities while investigating India's marine engine needs according to the source, which displays increased dedication to backing the country's shipbuilding development.
