  • Belrise launches EV hub motor unit in Pune with global tech collaboration
  • Adds three new plants, including two in Chennai for metal parts
  • ₹2,150 crore IPO opens May 21, 2025, to fund growth and cut debt

Belrise Industries, a large manufacturer of automotive components, has announced the formation of three new manufacturing facilities in India.

The two plants in Chennai will produce metals components, and a third unit in Pune, Maharashtra will be the company's launch into the electric vehicle segment with hub motors and chargers. The Pune facility should start in quarter one of FY26.

As part of this transition into EVs, Belrise has engaged a large Chinese firm to develop localized hub motor solutions for Indian roads and cost structures. The company wants to increase the company's contribution to electric two-wheelers from 10–15% to 20–25%, including engines, controllers, and chargers, while pursuing joint ventures within the EV ecosystem.

Belrise has 17 facilities with over 1,000 products, including chassis systems, suspension, exhausts, and polymer parts, that cover all classes of vehicles. The company has a powertrain agnostic portfolio for both ICE and electric models. The company works with 29 OEMs like Hero MotoCorp, Bajaj Auto, Jaguar Land Rover, and also exports to numerous countries, including the UK and Japan.

An executive said, "While two-wheelers have traditionally been our growth engine, the commercial vehicle space-three times larger-offers immense headroom. Our goal is to replicate our two-wheeler success in the four-wheeler segment."

The company is working on its ₹2,150 crore IPO on May 21, 2025, to support growth and reduce debt. The IPO will have a price band of ₹85–₹90 per share, with a face value of ₹5.
