
Boeing India, Wilton Weavers Partner to Boost Aero Skills
- Boeing India has partnered with Wilton Weavers to support skill development in India’s aerospace manufacturing sector
- The collaboration combines Boeing’s Kaushal initiative and Wilton Weavers’ Ameyaa programme to create inclusive aviation manufacturing jobs
- The first batch of 15 women with disabilities has completed training and is now employed in aviation-grade production
Boeing India established a partnership with its Indian supply chain partner Wilton Weavers to develop a skilled workforce which will boost India's growing aerospace manufacturing industry.
The two organizations will combine Boeing India's Kaushal supply chain skilling program with Wilton Weavers' Ameyaa program to create new job opportunities in aviation manufacturing.
The partnership will provide training programs and employment opportunities to people from disadvantaged backgrounds which include individuals with disabilities who want to enter mainstream aerospace manufacturing positions.
The initiative develops supplier capacity through inclusive growth initiatives which create a scalable model that various aerospace companies can implement.
The Ameyaa program at Wilton Weavers provides essential support for women with disabilities who want to enter manufacturing through its training programs and permanent job opportunities. The program achieved a major success when it graduated its first class which included 15 disabled women students.

The women who completed their training now work at Wilton Weavers' aviation manufacturing facility where they create aviation-grade products that satisfy international aerospace customer standards.
Boeing India and Wilton Weavers demonstrate through their collaboration that industrial partnerships can create a stronger aerospace workforce in India through their work on skill development and supplier advancement and social inclusion.
Ashwani Bhargava, Senior Director, India Supply Chain, Boeing stated, “Building strong supplier capability and a skilled workforce is essential for the long-term growth of India’s aerospace ecosystem”.
