Brakes India Establishes JV with AISIN Group For Advanced Braking Products

Brakes India declared its arrangements to create and manufacture advanced braking products for the homegrown light vehicle market in a 51:49 joint endeavor agreement with Japanese AISIN company organization ADVICS at a venture of Rs 500 crore throughout the following three years. The joint venture entity will centered on fostering these items in a staged way of which Electronic Stability Control (ESC) will be among the underlying items to be carried out, Brakes India said in a statement.

The green field plant will be subsidized by both partners, who will use strengths of the two organizations across cutting edge worldwide innovation, localisation abilities, quality frameworks, manufacturing processes, among others, it said.

"There is growth of hybrid and battery electric vehicles (HEV/BEVs) in India and the increased demand for autonomous driving features. Our investments in R&D and localisation combined with global technology of ADVICS will accelerate adoption of these advanced braking systems while leveraging decades-old collaboration between the TSF and AISIN Group. To begin with, the products manufactured at the JV company will be supplied to the Indian light vehicle market through the parent companies," said M Vasudevan K, President Light Vehicles, Brakes India.

Throughout the long term, Brakes India, which is a piece of the TSF GROUP, has been putting vigorously in Research and development and has consistently reinforced its localization efforts across its braking systems offerings, according to the release.

With the consistently developing worldwide mobility, the organization feels that having an innovation cooperate with worldwide openness and innovation skill will further its capacity in cutting edge braking solutions, and proficient braking for alternatively fueled mobility, it said.
