Rajasthan Leads in Tourism, Mining, Renewable Energy: CM Sharma

On August 22, 2025, Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma announced that the state is becoming a leader in tourism, mining, and renewable energy. He stressed its enormous growth potential. During his speech at the AI Innovation Summit 2025, which the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) hosted in Jaipur, Sharma discussed his government’s efforts to improve investment and infrastructure.

He mentioned that the ‘Rising Rajasthan Summit’ secured MoUs worth Rs 35 lakh crore, which will drive economic growth. Key water projects, such as the Ramjal Setu Link, Yamuna Water Agreement, Dewas Project, Indira Gandhi Canal, Gang Canal, and Mahi Dam, are ensuring that resources are available.

Sharma presented plans for energy self-reliance, aiming for daytime electricity for farmers by 2027. The state plans to create four lakh government jobs and six lakh jobs in the private sector over the next five years. He recognized chartered accountants as essential to India’s economy and highlighted Rajasthan’s significant contribution to the profession.

He encouraged their involvement in the state’s growth. Focusing on technology, Sharma described AI as a transformative force. He stated that Rajasthan is aligning with the Digital India and India AI Missions, with a new AI and Machine Learning policy in development.

Industries Minister Colonel Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore emphasized that under Sharma’s leadership, Rajasthan is moving forward in various sectors. The state is using AI and new technologies to improve governance. These actions place Rajasthan as a center for innovation, sustainability, and economic growth.
