
SAEL Industries to Invest Rs 22,000 Cr in Andhra Pradesh
- SAEL Industries plans to invest in green energy, biomass, data centres, and port development in Andhra Pradesh
- The investment includes 1,750 MW of solar/BESS projects across Kadapa and Kurnool districts
- A Rs 4,000 crore port project will enhance maritime logistics
SAEL Industries, a renewable energy company, is planning an investment of Rs 22,000 crore in Andhra Pradesh across green energy, biomass, data centres, and port development.
The company is expected to create more than 70,000 jobs in the state with this investment. The official deal will likely be signed at the CII Partnership Summit in Visakhapatnam on November 14 and 15, according to TDP statement.
The statement read, "SAEL Industries Limited is investing Rs 22,000 crore in the state across renewable energy, biomass, data centres and port development, with an employment impact of 7,000 direct jobs and 70,000 indirect jobs”.
The initiative involves a comprehensive portfolio of assets that include utility solar and storage development, biomass power development, a hyperscale data centre, and port-enabled infrastructure for industrial growth and logistics efficiency.

In total, seven solar/BESS projects will be constructed in Kadapa and Kurnool districts with a combined capacity of 1,750 MW.
These projects will be based on tenders related to the National Hydroelectric Power Corporation Limited (NHPC) and Solar Energy Corporation of India (SECI). The goal will be to generate renewable energy for the industry and data centre customers during all hours of the day and night.
Furthermore, a biomass power plant with 200 MW capacity, comprising 25 MW units, is expected to generate rural jobs and support the agricultural residue value chain.
The company has announced investment of Rs 3,000 crore for a new data centre facility and associated investment of Rs 4,000 crore in port development to improve maritime logistics and India's exports competitiveness.
IT Minister Nara Lokesh stated, “I'm delighted that SAEL Industries Ltd will be investing Rs 22,000 crore in Andhra Pradesh. As one of the first projects commissioned under the state government's integrated clean energy policy, SAEL has demonstrated excellent execution expertise”.
SAEL has previously invested Rs 3,200 crore in the state, with the commissioning of 600 MW capacity within nine months.
