
Samsung Begins Galaxy S25 Edge Production in India
- Samsung starts making Galaxy S25 Edge in India.

Samsung has launched the production of its Galaxy S25 Edge in India, which is its slimmest smartphone yet since unveiling it globally on May 13 (which had the Indian market as well). It runs on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Mobile Platform and sells at a price point between ₹1.09 lakh to ₹1.22 lakh.
Per Counterpoint Research, Apple and Samsung accounted for 94% of total smartphones produced in India in 2024. Samsung had the largest volume of production of any brand, claiming a 20% share of the market for 2024.
A Spokesperson of Samsung stated, "Galaxy S25 Edge is for users, who are looking for a slim and easy-to-carry phone that's also high on performance. It comes with all Galaxy AI features, including multimodal AI, that allow users to interact with the device in real-time through vision and voice. Galaxy S25 Edge is being manufactured at the Noida factory in India."

In the March 2025 quarter, Samsung Electronics held 17% share of the Indian smartphone market based on its expanded portfolio. The Galaxy S25 series, particularly the S25 Ultra, performed positively and helped the brand have its best share in the premium category.
The local manufacturing of the Galaxy S25 Edge celebrates Samsung's commitment to continue to operate in India while solidifying its leadership in the premium smartphone segment.
