
UP Launches Scheme to Boost Medical Device Manufacturing Hub
- YEIDA offers 21 industrial plots in Greater Noida for medical device manufacturing.

The Uttar Pradesh government had launched a new program to support medical device manufacturers to set up in Greater Noida. In a statement issued on Tuesday, the Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA) issued a notice for 21 industrial plots in Sector 28 for medical device manufacturers.
The scheme is accepting applications and the window for submissions for interested parties expires on July 7. This activity is the next phase of the development of the Medical Device Park in Greater Noida, which is anticipated to be the largest medical device park in India.
The launch of the medical device park is expected to drive economic growth in Uttar Pradesh as it is expected to attract leading manufacturers to set up operations in a new commercial hub.

The scheme is aimed at selected high-potential segments, such as cancer care, radiology, imaging, in-vitro diagnostics (IVDs), implants, electronic medical devices, cardio-respiratory devices, and renal devices for instance, catheters.
Sixteen of the available plots are 1,000 square metres in size, where the premium is ₹77.30 lakh and the registration amount is ₹7.73 lakh. The remaining five, with a size of 2,100 square metres will have a premium of ₹1.62 crore and a registration amount of ₹16.23 lakh.
Interested applicants can get details and apply for this plot through the official YEIDA and Nivesh Mitra websites. The plots are also strategically located with access through the Yamuna Expressway, while nearby major projects including Noida International Airport, International Film City, the F1 MotoGP Track and several other industrial locations will provide advantageous opportunities in business logistics. Eventually, future links to the Eastern Peripheral Expressway will also benefit logistics and Industries located on the Eastern side of the project area.
