
Andhra Pradesh Unveils Draft Electronics Manufacturing Policy 4.0
- AP launched draft ECMP 4.0 to boost electronics manufacturing.

The Andhra Pradesh government, on Thursday, launched the draft Electronics Component Manufacturing Policy 4.0 (ECMP 4.0) during a roadshow organized by the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY).
The day saw key industry stakeholders being brought together to discuss opportunities under the newly launched Electronics Component Manufacturing Scheme (ECMS).
The event saw the presence of Union IT and Electronics Joint Secretary, Sushil Pal, and IT Secretary of Andhra Pradesh, K Bhaskar.

The draft intends to draw investments into Andhra Pradesh through a variety of incentives including early bird benefits, matching and interim incentives, and plug-and-play infrastructure in specialized manufacturing clusters.
On the sidelines of the event, Dixon Technologies announced its plans to create 5,000 new jobs in the state in the next two years as part of the expansion. Similarly, backed by Reliance, Neolync is also said to create 5,000 jobs, cementing Andhra Pradesh's credentials as a manufacturing hub.
An Official Release stated, "In line with the national vision, the Government of Andhra Pradesh formally unveiled its draft ECMP 4.0, a pioneering and comprehensive policy designed to catalyze investments, build specialised infrastructure, and nurture talent across the electronics component manufacturing value chain".
