  • CM Stalin inaugurated ₹300 crore Agile Robots plant, creating 300 jobs.
  • Launched ₹175 crore SOL India gas plant in Ranipet.
  • SOL India is a JV between Italy’s SOL SpA and SICGILSOL.

Two major investment projects in the state were virtually inaugurated by Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin on Wednesday, thus bolstering the industrial base of the state.

The first project is the manufacturing setup of Agile Robots SE, Germany, at the SIPCOT Industrial Park. The company has invested a sum of ₹300 crore, which will be used for the generation of 300 jobs at the facility. Agile Robots develops AI-driven robotic systems, intelligent software, and automation solutions that enhance productivity in sectors such as automotive, consumer electronics, and healthcare.

The second investment is of ₹175 crore for the air separation plant from SOL India Pvt. Ltd., also at SIPCOT, Ranipet. The foundation of this plant was laid in April 2023. SOL India manufactures industrial gases - liquid oxygen, nitrogen, and argon - together with high-purity gases needed for semiconductor manufacturing.

The plant will cater to over 90 applications in medicinal, industrial, and scientific areas. SOL India is a joint venture of Italy-based SOL SpA with SICGILSOL India Private Ltd.

These investments clearly point to the growing attraction of Tamil Nadu as a manufacturing and technology hub with a concentration in automation, advanced materials, and high-purity industrial supply.
