Deutsche Aircraft, in collaboration with the Aerospace India Association, Cyient, Dynamatic Technologies, and SASMOS HET, has unveiled strategic results from the Wings of Opportunity Summit, which took place in New Delhi. The partnership seeks to enhance India’s position in sustainable aviation and 'Make in India' production.

India's domestic aviation sector, currently the third largest worldwide with over 220 million travelers in 2024, is at a crucial juncture. Government programs, such as UDAN, are enhancing air access to Tier II and III cities, generating a need for effective regional aircraft.

“India is the largest growth market for regional aviation and already a crucial partner for the D328eco programme,” said Nico Neumann, CEO of Deutsche Aircraft. The D328eco turboprop from the company, seating 40 and built for India's varied landscape, provides excellent performance in high altitudes and warm climates, complete SAF compatibility, and a comfortable, silent cabin. Designed for India's regional routes, it features a 55 percent break-even load factor and a range of 100–300 nautical miles.

The summit emphasized collaboration between India and Germany in technology, sustainability, and manufacturing. Cyient provides design engineering and AI-based solutions.

“Cyient’s partnership with Deutsche Aircraft underscores our commitment to innovation in sustainable aviation,” said Sukamal Banerjee, Executive Director and CEO, Cyient.

CEO Udayant Malhoutra noted, “This partnership is a milestone in India’s aerospace manufacturing journey.”

SASMOS HET offers sophisticated EWIS and electrical integration solutions. “This collaboration was driven by a clear objective to harness SASMOS’s specialised expertise in electrical integration,” said H.G. Chandrashekar, CMD, SASMOS.

The one-day summit brought leaders from the aviation, government, and investment sectors to discuss five themes: regional connectivity, sustainability, fleet modernization, collaborative manufacturing, and investment prospects.

Through the alignment of innovation and manufacturing capabilities, Deutsche Aircraft and its Indian collaborators are contributing to the growth of India's aviation sector while also establishing a sustainable and competitive aerospace ecosystem on a global scale.
