Gujarat Signs MoUs Worth Over Rs 1,700 Crore

The Gujarat government established an official partnership with Gujarat SemiConnect 2026 through the signing of Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs), which totalled approximately ₹1,700 crore.

The Gujarat MoUs 1700 crore mark a major milestone in Gujarat economic development, as the MoU signing Gujarat government initiative strengthens Gujarat investment agreements, accelerates Gujarat industrial MoUs, boosts state investment deals India, and drives Gujarat business expansion.

Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel addressed the audience by stating that the state plans to establish a complete semiconductor ecosystem, which will attract international partnerships while supporting Aatmanirbhar Bharat through research activities, innovation and local supply chain development.

He explained that Gujarat achieved fast development in semiconductor and chip production because of its stable policies, transparent system, Dholera and Sanand infrastructure progress.

Hyspec Chemicals Private Limited established a MoU to produce specialty chemicals at semiconductor grade through its primary agreement. Hotayi Industries, based in Japan will invest between ₹350 crore and ₹500 crore to build a memory module manufacturing facility in Sanand.

Kaynes Technology established an agreement with SpectraGaze to research a joint business venture, which will involve a 250 crore investment in start-up companies while it builds a facility in Sanand.

Horiba will establish a research and development centre in Ahmedabad, which will concentrate on developing semiconductor-grade mass flow meters and advanced materials.

Kiansh/GnBS will establish gas abatement systems, which serve as essential components for chip fabrication units. Suchi Semicon formed a technology partnership with ROHM through their collaboration agreement.

The National Institute of Electronics and Information Technology will build a training facility in its new ITI-Chandkheda campus. The Centre for Development of Advanced Computing in Bangalore will create a ChipIN Extension Centre together with a Centre of Excellence in VLSI design to enhance Gujarat's semiconductor ecosystem.

Patel stated, “A nano fabrication lab is being set up at IIT-Gandhinagar under the Samarth project to strengthen research and talent development”.
