
Haryana, NICDC ink Pacts for Hisar Integrated Manufacturing Cluster

The Amritsar-Kolkata Industrial Corridor (AKIC) has recently witnessed its major milestone when the State Support Agreement (SSA) and Shareholder Agreement (SHA) were entered into between the National Industrial Corridor Development and Implementation Trust (NICDIT), Haryana government, and Haryana Airports Development Corporation (HADC).
Through the agreement, National Industrial Corridor Development Corporation (NICDC) will support the state government for developing the Integrated Manufacturing Cluster (IMC) at Hisar.
The Hisar IMC is designed to give a fillip to local manufacturing, create higher domestic and foreign investment opportunities for Haryana, and contribute to India's Make in India thrust. It is one of 20 projects being worked upon in association with Indian state governments by NICDC.

Covering 2,988 acres next to the newly opened Maharaja Agrasen International Airport, Hisar IMC (Investment Maintenance and Capital) has a prospective investment of Rs 32,417 Cr and project cost of Rs 4680 cr. It is expected to create around 1.25 lakh jobs, making it a big employment generator.
The Hisar IMC is situated strategically between the Eastern and Western Dedicated Freight Corridors; it is situated well between NH-52, NH-09 and rail networks, as well logistics hubs relatively close and within the cluster.
The project aims to create an inspiring ecosystem to create business for global investors and reinforce Haryana's position as a leading industrial destination . Through the integration of high-end manufacturing capabilities, infrastructure and logistics functions, the Hisar IMC has the potential to significantly contribute to economic growth, industrial development and employment generation within the county, providing support to India's wider trajectory of industrial and economic growth.
