
Hindustan Power Starts 435 MWp Solar Project in Lalitpur, UP
- Hindustan Power begins 435 MWp solar project in Lalitpur, aiding UP’s 22,000 MW renewable target.
- Awarded by UPPCL, it will supply clean power for 25 years and boost local jobs.

Hindustan Power has revealed the collaboration in conjunction with its 435 MWp solar project in Lalitpur, Uttar Pradesh. The announcement was made during the Clean Energy Summit 2025 at theHotel Hyatt, Gomti Nagar, Lucknow with the theme theme "Uttar Pradesh - Powering a USD 1 Trillion Economy through Renewable Energy", organized by the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), Northern Region with support from UPNEDA.
The Lalitpur project will be iconic in keeping Uttar Pradesh's ambition of adding 22,000 MW of renewable energy capacity by 2026-27, which was awarded to Hindustan Power by Uttar Pradesh Power Corporation Limited (UPPCL) in April 2025 after a transparent bidding process. The project will deliver clean reliable power for the next 25 years.
Besides contributing to environmental objectives, the project is projected to generate significant socio-economic impact: first, job impacts, and second, development of regional infrastructure. With Hindustan Power's project office up and running, it has begun mobilization: site development, workforce establishment, and coordination with local partners.
