Inox Wind bags 51-MW order from Thermax unit in Tamil Nadu

• Inox Wind received a 51 MW wind turbine order from FEPL.
• Turbines will be installed at a Tamil Nadu project via FEPL’s SPV.
• The deal includes limited EPC and multi-year O&M services.

Inox Wind Limited (IWL) has won a 51 MW order from First Energy Private Limited (FEPL), a company of the Thermax Group, for wind turbine generators (WTGs) for the project in Tamil Nadu. This is FEPL's first order with IWL for its 3 MW class wind turbines, which feature a hub height of 140 meters and a rotor diameter of 145 meters.

The WTGs will be installed at FEPL's project site in Tamil Nadu, currently under development through its special purpose vehicle, First Energy 10 Private Limited. The order was for WTGs, and other EPC services with limited scope with respect to warranty, which was only for supervision of installation.

IWL will provide Guaranteed Multi-year Operations and Maintenance (O&M) services after the commissioning, carrying out the proposed services by its subsidiaries. This order strengthens IWL's position in the Indian wind energy market and expands the base of partnerships.
