  • A ₹115 crore project in Kerala focusing on R&D and skill development, with 600 more jobs planned in the second phase
  • The first manufacturing unit in Kerala at KINFRA Perumbavoor, with ₹350 crore investment and major expansion
  • These projects boost Kerala as a hub for electronics manufacturing, innovation, and job creation

The electrical and electronics manufacturing industry in Kerala will receive a major boost from two investment projects which will begin operations at KINFRA industrial parks. The first project is the V-Guard Innovation Campus at the KINFRA Electronics Manufacturing Cluster in Kakkanad.

The rise of Kerala electronics manufacturing is fueled by strong investment in Kerala, contributing to significant electronics industry growth and increased electronics production, while attracting Kerala tech investments that promise a substantial Kerala economy boost.

This development plays a pivotal role in expanding the manufacturing sector in India, creating numerous Kerala business opportunities and solidifying the state’s position as a hub for electronics companies in Kerala, ultimately strengthening India electronics manufacturing.

The first phase of the project encompasses three acres of land which includes an 11-storey building that contains more than 1.10 lakh sq ft of constructed space. The campus functions as a Research & Development and Learning & Development center which enables users to share knowledge and interact with customers through its facilities.

The advanced product development center enables employees to work on product development while they access modern office space. The first phase of the project has created 400 jobs through its initial investment of ₹115 crore while the second phase will create 600 more jobs through its upcoming ₹200 crore investment.

Kaynes Technology established its new operations center inside the KINFRA Industrial Park at Perumbavoor. The project initiated from the commitments made during the February 2025 Invest Kerala Global Summit represents Kaynes' initial manufacturing facility in Kerala.

The company plans to expand its operations at this location which provides services to aviation defence and automobile industries. It will establish its first unit while construction work begins for the Beta building and the Gamma and Delta complexes which will bring total investments to 350 crore rupees.

State Industries Minister P. Rajeeve will officially launch both projects on February 10 and 11 which will establish Kerala as a top location for electronics manufacturing and industrial development.
