Schneider Electric Unveils Gen AI Copilot to Boost Industries
- Schneider and Microsoft launch AI-based Industrial Copilot.
- Boosts automation flexibility, efficiency, and collaboration.
- Enables real-time insights, predictive maintenance, and savings.
Schneider Electric, a worldwide leader in energy management and automation, recently unveiled its next-generation Industrial Copilot, a cutting-edge AI (copilot) built in partnership with Microsoft.
Built on generative AI and designed to extend open automation ecosystems, the Copilot augments the intelligence, flexibility, and efficiency of industrial operations, simplifying application development, fostering collaboration, automating repetitive activities, and accelerating the delivery of high-quality solutions.
Deeply embedded in Schneider Electric’s EcoStruxure Automation Expert Platform, Schneider Electric’s flagship open automation environment, the Industrial Copilot integrates AI into the open and interoperable architecture to provide unprecedented scalability, adaptability, and performance that proprietary, closed systems cannot offer.

Arvind Kakru, VP-Industrial Automation at Schneider Electric India said, "Open Automation plays a pivotal role in achieving this goal. India’s manufacturing sector is rapidly evolving, demanding greater flexibility and efficiency. Our AI Copilot, created in collaboration with Microsoft and leveraging our extensive subject knowledge, not only functions within an open environment but really enhances it. It reinforces the fundamental principles of openness, modularity, and collaboration while streamlining engineering, speeding deployment, and enabling teams to accomplish more with less".
Industrial copilots, such as those in the EcoStruxure Automation Expert platform, are radically changing operations by making timely and relevant suggestions and recommendations that enhance productivity and help decision-making speed. Industrial copilots help reduce manual effort, lower costs, aggregate data for better decision-making, and increase machine uptime by providing predictive maintenance and investigating faults faster than the traditional approach.
Accessible through the EcoStruxure Automation Expert platform, the Copilot represents Schneider Electric’s leadership in advancing open, software-defined automation, integrates seamlessly across hardware and software platforms, has capabilities to visualize real-time information, provides access to predictive analytics, and improves collaboration between copilots, operators, and engineers – to make industrial processes smarter, faster, and more efficient.
