
Tata Power DDL Magna Yuma to Build EV Battery Swap Stations
- Tata Power-DDL and Magna Yuma to set up EV battery-swapping stations in Delhi

Magna Yuma Pvt Ltd and Tata Power Delhi Distribution Limited (Tata Power-DDL), which serve around 9 million customers in North Delhi, have entered into an agreement to install EV battery-swapping stations in the capital. Magna Yuma will oversee the design, installation, and upkeep of stations across Delhi, while Tata Power-DDL will provide the stations' locations at its grid substations.
The two stations will be launched from the Shalimar Bagh Centre Grid and the Badli Grid locations. The project is focused on facilitating quicker options to conventional EV charging, minimizing downtime, and easing the user experience, and will further speed up Delhi's transition to sustainable transport.
The partnership is expected to lower carbon emissions, increase adoption of EVs, and strengthen green infrastructure through advancing emissions reduction targets of India's wider renewable energy objectives.

The partnership anticipates utilizing Tata Power-DDL's existing infrastructure as leverage and applying Magna Yuma's expertise in battery technology to innovate the EV ecosystem and establish a greener urban environment.
