TATA.ev established collaboration with Shell India Mobility to create 21 new TATA.ev x Shell Mega Charging Hubs, which will enhance the public EV charging network throughout major Indian cities.

The new hubs operate in Bangalore, Chennai, Mysuru, Pune and Vadodara to serve both urban commuters and long-distance travellers.

The Mega Charging Hub contains 120 kW DC fast chargers, which enable users to complete charging activities within a shorter time period. The hubs function as convenient charging points which provide dependable service to electric vehicle drivers because they stand close to busy urban streets and key intercity roads. The TATA.ev Mega Charging network now operates more than 130 sites throughout the country because of this expansion.

TATA.ev partners with charge point operators to expand fast-charging facilities throughout India under its Open Collaboration 2.0 initiative. The company plans to build 400000 charging stations, which will include 500 Mega Charging Hubs by the year 2027.

Bangalore has received the largest expansion, which added nine additional hubs to its existing six hubs. The new locations enhance transportation links between important routes that connect Bangalore to Mysuru and Bangalore to Hyderabad.

The city of Chennai established five hubs which operate essential regional transportation networks while Mysuru, Pune and Vadodara established strategically located facilities that include one at the essential NH 48 highway.

The hubs provide more than electric vehicle charging services because they include Shell Select, Deli2go stores, restrooms and on-site staff assistance, which creates a smooth and pleasant electric vehicle charging process.
