
V-GREEN, HPCL Join Forces to Expand EV Charging in India
- V-GREEN & HPCL will set up EV V-GREEN partners with HPCL to launch EV charging stations across India, supporting VinFast expansion and building a comprehensive electric vehicle ecosystem charging stations at HPCL fuel outlets across India
- The collaboration aims to improve charging access and support VinFast and HP e-Charge expansion

V-GREEN Global Charging Station Development Company has entered into a partnership with Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL) to set up electric vehicle charging stations (EVCS) at petrol stations of HPCL in various parts of India.
According to the official announcement, the partnership will allow V-GREEN to take advantage of HPCL's large network of retail outlets for building strong EV charging infrastructure.
The project is aimed at making the charging process a lot easier for electric vehicles users and at speeding up the transition to EVs throughout the country. Moreover, the alliance is predicted to bolster the expansion plans of VinFast and HPCL's HP e-Charge brand in India in the long run.

As per the statement, HPCL’s extensive presence throughout the country will be the main reason for the swift installation and expansion of charging stations in different areas. The project is a joint venture with the Indian government which supports the e-mobility and sustainable EV ecosystem transformation across the country.
V-GREEN which was created by VinFast Founder Pham Nhat Vuong is committed to backing VinFast’s global expansion through investing in and developing charging networks. He sees India as a huge market in his plan and thus, the cooperation with HPCL is a great move.
The collaboration is a part of a larger plan by V-GREEN, VinFast, and their partners to create a complete EV ecosystem in India. It is envisaged that this ecosystem will embrace all the important segments of the EV value chain like vehicle production, charging infrastructure, after-sales services, and battery recycling thus making India a prime port for the conversion of the whole region to electric mobility.
