
TN Cabinet Approves Rs 34,000 Cr Investment across 15 Proposals
- The Tamil Nadu Cabinet approved 15 industrial projects worth ₹34,237 crore, expected to generate 55,000 jobs across the state
- Key projects include Tata Motors' Jaguar Land Rover facility in Ranipet, shipbuilding initiatives benefiting fishermen, and aerospace & defense ventures
- Other approved projects include the expansion of Hyundai's plant, a solar cell manufacturing unit in Thoothukudi
The Tamil Nadu Cabinet has approved 15 industrial projects recently, totaling an investment of ₹34,237 crore. The Minister of Industries, T R B Rajaa has announced that these projects will generate 55000 new job openings in multiple industries after the 23rd Cabinet meeting, which Chief Minister M K Stalin led.
Rajaa stated, “These investment proposals approved by the Cabinet will see the expansion of industrial projects in Chennai, Ranipet and Thiruvallur districts and other parts of the state. International footwear brand will also set its footprint”.
The TN Cabinet investment has approved a ₹34,000 crore proposal aimed at boosting Tamil Nadu development, with a focus on industrial investment that will significantly contribute to the Tamil Nadu economy, fostering economic growth through various government proposals.
The projects will create economic growth throughout the state as they will operate in multiple districts, which include Chennai, Chengalpattu, Kanchipuram, Tiruvallur, Ranipet, Tiruvannamalai, Krishnagiri, Namakkal, Perambalur, Tiruchirappalli, Karur, Tirupur, Ramanathapuram and Thoothukudi.
The Chief Minister will join Tata Sons Chairman N Chandrasekaran to open Tata Motors' new Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) facility in Ranipet on February 9. A significant project announcement will take place on February 13.

The shipbuilding industry has established a major project which will generate job opportunities for fishermen who live in coastal areas. The project will be executed by Chennai Radha Engineering Works, which serves as a vital shipbuilding component manufacturer.
The aerospace and defense company, which focuses on radar systems, artillery shells and underwater systems, has received permission to start a new operation in Tamil Nadu.
The Cabinet approved multiple important projects, which included Hyundai's manufacturing plant expansion, a solar cell manufacturing facility in Thoothukudi and a project by Yasaki India Private Limited, which produces automotive wiring harnesses and connectors.
The upcoming developments will establish essential foundations which will enhance both industrial growth and job creation throughout the state.
