TVS Supply Chain Wins 3-Year In-Plant Logistics Deal

• TVS SCS wins 3-year in-plant logistics contract from DICV
• 700 staff, tech-led solutions for Chennai plant
• Deal to boost efficiency in Daimler’s operations

TVS Supply Chain Solutions Limited (TVS SCS) has secured a three-year contract from Daimler India Commercial Vehicles (DICV) to manage in-plant warehouse operations at DICV’s manufacturing facility in Chennai.

Under the agreement, TVS SCS will handle end-to-end warehouse operations within the plant, including material handling, inventory management and internal logistics, to ensure smooth and uninterrupted production. Around 700 TVS SCS employees will be deployed as part of the engagement.

The company announced that it will implement technology-based solutions that include IoT-based tracking systems to provide real-time visibility of materials, automation systems that will reduce manual material handling, predictive analytics software to improve planning accuracy, and digital dashboards for centralised performance monitoring. These initiatives are intended to improve Operational Efficiency and Fortify DICV's Production Ecosystem.
