AVG Logistics made an announcement recently about its partnership with Nestlé India and Ashok Leyland to create a dedicated green logistics corridor that will operate with 50 compressed natural gas (CNG) trucks.

The regulatory filing mentioned this new initiative which is going to support Nestlé India’s supply chain and is going to cover a distance of around 2.75 lakh kilometers every month. According to AVG Logistics, changing over to CNG-powered trucks is going to cut down the carbon dioxide emissions by around 1.1 lakh kilograms every year.

The firm underlined that the green corridor scheme is intended to progress fuel efficiency, lessen the use of the conventional diesel transport, and encourage the adoption of lower-emission logistics practices. It is also supporting the AVG Logistics’ larger ambition of hitting the emission reduction markers and refining the sustainability of its supply chain operations.
