- UST and T-Works partner to fast-track tech innovation in manufacturing, semiconductors, and automotive.
- Collaboration cuts development time by 50% and R&D costs by 40%, offering startups advanced, affordable tools.
- UST teams to co-create 5G and AI-based solutions at T-Works, boosting global opportunities for Indian startups.
UST, a worldwide leader in digital transformation, has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with T-Works, which is India's largest prototyping centre supported by the government. Both parties will work together to expedite the development of technologies in manufacturing, semiconductors, and automotive industries.
UST is headquartered in the US. Founded in 1999, the company has a footprint in India including the following cities: Bengaluru, Thiruvananthapuram, Hyderabad, Kochi, Pune, Mumbai, Chennai, and Coimbatore. UST has over 20,000 professionals in India. UST, under the MoU, will provide system integration and end-to-end solutions to startups at T-Works.
The partnership will be on AI-based automotive platforms, semiconductor test systems, and smart factory technologies. By leveraging UST's digital and AI capabilities and T-Works' physical prototyping, the duration of time taken to convert products from hardware to digital is expected to be reduced by almost 50%.

Part of the collaboration also involves shared ownership of newly created technologies, with the purpose of lowering R&D expenses by approximately 40%. UST clients will have access to sophisticated tools, including AI-driven manufacturing solutions and early-stage semiconductor test devices. Part of these technologies will be made available at lower prices in order to stimulate their broader deployment.
The MoU was inked at UST's Thiruvananthapuram campus in the presence of top executives, such as Alexander Varghese, COO at UST, and Joginder Tanikella, CEO at T-Works. Both executives stressed the potential of the partnership to accelerate innovation and provide global opportunities for Indian startups. UST will also send teams to T-Works to co-create new technologies, such as 5G-based industrial technologies and automotive innovation programs.
"This collaboration makes it easier and faster for startups and companies to turn ideas into working products", added Varghese.
