Adani Enterprises and Jabil sign a non-binding MoU for a 50:50 joint venture to manufacture AI racks, servers, networking, power and cooling equipment in India.

Adani Enterprises Limited and US-based manufacturing company Jabil. have signed a non-binding memorandum of understanding (MoU) to establish a proposed 50:50 joint venture for manufacturing and assembling artificial intelligence (AI) and data centre equipment in India. The partnership aims to strengthen domestic production capabilities and address growing demand for AI computing infrastructure in India and international markets.

The proposed venture will manufacture AI racks, servers, storage systems and networking equipment used in data centres. Its product portfolio will also include power distribution units, liquid-cooling systems and transformers required to operate high-performance computing infrastructure. The facility is expected to have multi-gigawatt AI rack manufacturing capacity and provide installation and commissioning services to customers.

The agreement builds on the companies’ earlier announcement in June 2026 to develop an AI and data centre infrastructure manufacturing ecosystem in India. The partnership will combine Jabil’s engineering, supply chain and manufacturing expertise with Adani Group’s capabilities in renewable energy, infrastructure and data centre development.

Adani Group Chairman Gautam Adani said the collaboration would help the group expand beyond powering and hosting AI infrastructure into manufacturing the critical equipment needed for next-generation computing. Jabil CEO Mike Dastoor highlighted the opportunity to provide rack-level data centre solutions to large technology companies in India and overseas.

India’s data centre capacity is projected to reach 5–8 gigawatts by 2030, driven by increasing AI adoption, cloud computing requirements and data localisation. The companies estimate that the global AI infrastructure market could exceed $3 trillion over the next seven years as investment in computing capacity expands.

The proposed joint venture also aligns with Adani Group’s commitment to invest $100 billion in developing 5 GW of green-energy-powered, hyperscale AI-ready data centres by 2035. For Jabil, the partnership would expand its manufacturing presence in India’s growing data centre market.

The MoU remains subject to definitive agreements, applicable regulatory approvals and other customary conditions. Once established, the venture is expected to serve domestic customers and support exports, contributing to India’s ambitions to strengthen its role in advanced technology manufacturing.
