Amit Shah Unveils ₹5,755 Crore Projects Across Rajasthan
Union Home Minister Amit Shah has inaugurated and laid foundation stones for 944 development projects worth ₹5,755 crore across 15 districts of Rajasthan from Chittorgarh. He also unveiled a 21-foot statue of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee.
Union Home Minister (UHM) Amit Shah has inaugurated and laid the foundation stones for 944 developmental projects worth of Rs. 5,755 crores in 15 districts of Rajasthan. The projects were showcased during such an event in Chittorgarh in the presence of Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma and other dignitaries.
The projects will benefit the overall development of all the districts of the state and investments will be made in infrastructure and public facilities. The virtual inauguration and foundation-stone ceremonies were for projects that are spread out in the 15 districts.

At the time of the event, Shah also unveiled a 21-foot tall statue of the former PM Atal Bihari Vajpayee. This statue was erected on the death anniversary of Vajpayee at a cost of over ₹1.5 crore.
Shah noted the contribution of Vajpayee in the field of national security, infrastructure and governance. He mentioned the former Prime Minister's contribution in building the strategic capacities of India and its development of big infrastructure projects.
The Home Minister also recognized the development initiatives undertaken by the Rajasthan Government and talked about welfare initiatives for the tribal communities, farmers and rural communities.
The projects are being launched when Rajasthan is increasing its public infrastructure and development initiatives at its districts. The new package is quite massive, and indicates that the government will be working on several projects at once in various regions of the country.

The total investment of ₹5,755 crore in 944 projects is likely to boost the infrastructure and access to public amenities in the covered districts. The projects are also part of the state's overall development plan for enhancing connectivity and basic services in the state of Rajasthan.
The Chittorgarh event thus, not only celebrated Vajpayee, but it also launched a massive development package, featuring infrastructure, governance and regional development as the main pillars of the programme.
