
Andhra CM Naidu Announces Bullet Train Service for South India

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu recently announced that bullet train connectivity will soon become a reality in South India, linking Hyderabad, Amaravati, Chennai, and Bengaluru.
Speaking at the 'India Food Manufacturing Summit', he emphasized that the project will serve nearly five crore people across these key cities, transforming regional connectivity and boosting economic growth.
The Chief Minister stated, "Very soon bullet train is going to come to South India. That is going to happen. Survey has been ordered. From Hyderabad, Chennai, Amaravati, Bangalore, all four cities, more than five crore population and the biggest market in the world".
Naidu highlighted that the high-speed rail will revolutionize logistics, enabling faster movement of people and goods, and bringing significant opportunities for trade, industry, and investment.

He stated that once operational, the bullet train will showcase the scale of modern infrastructure development in the region and serve as a catalyst for integrated growth.
In addition to the bullet train, the Chief Minister underlined the state’s commitment to strengthening its road infrastructure. Plans are in place not only to build new highways but also to ensure that even rural and remote roads are maintained at international standards.
This focus on seamless connectivity—both through advanced rail networks and world-class roadways—reflects the government’s broader vision to position Andhra Pradesh as a hub of modern infrastructure and efficient logistics, fostering competitiveness and sustainable development across South India.
