Synopsis:  Ceigall India secures a ₹603 crore concession agreement from NHAI for a six-lane highway project in Punjab, strengthening infrastructure development and expanding the company’s presence in India’s road network.

Ceigall India Limited is strengthening its position in India’s infrastructure sector after securing a ₹603 crore concession agreement from the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI). The project focuses on the construction of a six-lane access-controlled road stretch in Punjab, supporting the country’s ongoing efforts to improve highway connectivity and transportation infrastructure.

The contract is awarded to Ceigall Infra Projects Private Limited (CIPPL), a wholly owned subsidiary of Ceigall India. The project involves developing a 10.3-kilometre access-controlled spur road connecting the Ambala–Chandigarh section of NH-205A with the Zirakpur Bypass in Punjab. The initiative is expected to improve regional connectivity, reduce travel time, and enhance movement of goods and passengers across important routes.

The project is executed under the Hybrid Annuity Mode (HAM), a model designed to balance government support and private sector participation in highway development. Under the agreement, the construction phase is scheduled for 18 months, followed by a 15-year operation and maintenance period. The long-term arrangement provides sustained involvement for the company while contributing to the efficient management of the highway asset.

The development aligns with the government’s broader focus on accelerating infrastructure expansion and improving road networks across the country. Highway projects under NHAI continue to play a crucial role in enhancing logistics efficiency, promoting economic activity, and supporting regional development.

The Punjab highway project is expected to contribute to smoother transportation links between key urban and commercial areas. Improved road connectivity is likely to benefit commuters, industries, and supply chains by enabling faster and more reliable movement.

With increasing investments in infrastructure development, Ceigall India continues to participate in major road construction initiatives. The company’s latest agreement with NHAI highlights the growing role of private sector players in supporting India’s infrastructure ambitions and building modern transport networks.
