Gujarat is promoting its established industrial sectors, including chemicals, petrochemicals, diamond processing and refining, alongside emerging industries such as semiconductors, artificial intelligence, data centres and battery manufacturing. The state is also developing infrastructure in Sanand and Dholera to support semiconductor manufacturing and strengthen its role in global technology supply chains. Renewable energy development at Khavda is another priority, complementing the state’s manufacturing and infrastructure expansion.
The state’s ports, international air connectivity, Dedicated Freight Corridor and other transport infrastructure are being positioned as advantages for manufacturing, logistics and trade. Officials also highlighted the opportunities available to micro, small and medium enterprises as Gujarat seeks to expand its industrial ecosystem.
VGGS 2027 is expected to offer businesses a range of engagement platforms, including a global trade exhibition, reverse buyer-seller meetings, vendor development programmes and a startup and technology summit. These initiatives aim to facilitate partnerships, connect suppliers with potential buyers and encourage collaboration between businesses and innovators.
