At the World Economic Forum (WEF) 2026, India and Oman performed a high-level meeting to discuss cooperation in areas of renewable energy, especially in the fields of manufacturing, exports, and green hydrogen.
Pralhad Joshi, the Union Minister for New and Renewable Energy, and Said Mohammed Ahmed Al Saqri, the Economic Advisor at Oman’s Office of the Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs, met each other on the sidelines of the event.
The discussions revolved around the areas of joint manufacturing and exporting of solar modules, electrolysers, and green hydrogen. The officials also touched on the matter of Omani investments in Indian energy projects that are powered by renewable hydrogen and in the creation of such projects.
Joshi pointed out India’s strong ability to expand the use of renewable energy solutions, solar, wind, green hydrogen, and energy storage even in tough conditions like arid and desert areas. This means India is a good place for global investors.

Before this, Joshi was the one who got the chance to hold discussions with the Madhya Pradesh government delegation at the India Lounge in Davos regarding the renewables energy roadmap of the state.
The World Economic Forum (WEF) 2026, which focused on “A Spirit of Dialogue”, was attended by around 400 politicians, including 65 presidents and prime ministers.
