  • Customers can get maintenance and minor repairs while refuelling
  • The tie-up expands Maruti Suzuki’s service network and boosts convenience

Recently, Indian Oil Corporation (IndianOil) revealed that it has reached an agreement in the form of a Memorandum of Understanding with Maruti Suzuki India (MSIL) to set up official car service centers at select IndianOil petrol stations across the country, thus providing a convenience experience to car owners that is seamless and smooth.

As a result of the collaboration, Maruti Suzuki clients will have the option to get their cars serviced for scheduled periodic maintenance and minor repairs at the same places they refuel, thus changing the format of fuel stations into mobility hubs with integrated services.

The project seeks to improve customer convenience by allowing access to authorized services in easily accessible, well-known locations.

Saumitra P Srivastava, Director - Marketing, IndianOil stated, “With a network of over 41,000 fuel stations across the length and breadth of India, we are uniquely positioned to bring essential services closer to the consumer”.

The partnership for Maruti Suzuki is a way to extend its service to an existing network of more than 5,780 service points and thus cater to more customers effectively.

Ram Suresh Akella, Executive Officer - Service, MSIL added, “This collaboration marks a significant step to bring the mobility and energy sector together and to deliver a superior customer care experience”.

Market watchers point out that the project is a move towards uniting the two industries of mobility and energy which is a general trend of making fuel, service, and convenience available at one place.

Akella of Maruti Suzuki stated that the strategic partnership with IndianOil is an important step in providing top-notch after-sales service as well as making the overall ownership experience better for the Indian consumers.
