Indofast Energy, a leader in the provision of battery-swapping solutions, has made known that they have entered into a strategic partnership with e-Sprinto to roll out 20,000 electric two-wheelers all over India until the end of 2026.
The mutual co-operation seeks to energize the Indian electric vehicle (EV) ecosystem, with the merging of e-Sprinto’s electric scooters with Indofast’s battery-swapping facilities spread out across cities, which would guarantee smooth functioning of last-mile delivery, quick commerce, e-commerce, and food delivery businesses. The project highlights provision of battery-swapping stations on the corridors where there will be very high demand in future so that the EV operations can continue without any interruption, thus giving less time for the operators' fleets to rest.

Anant Badjatya, CEO of Indofast Energy a joint venture equally owned by IndianOil Corporation Ltd and SUN Mobility said, “By integrating e-Sprinto’s high-quality vehicles with our network, we are expanding our reach across diverse customer segments and accelerating our ambitious EV deployment targets.” Indofast has been smart to set up alliances with the leading players such as Zypp Electric, Omega Seiki Mobility, Shadowfax, Triev, Wickedride, and Green Drive to facilitate the battery-swapping network that covers the whole country.
Such a partnership will have a large-scale impact on the fleet electrification process, thus supporting the clean and green mobility plans of India and the country's pledge of attaining net-zero emissions by 2070. The strategy of battery swapping technology is instrumental in overcoming the barriers of charging delays that are at the core of the collaboration, thereby enhancing reliability and sustainability for those businesses that want to make the transition to electric fleets.
