
Tata Motors Partners with 13 EV Operators to Boost Charging
- Tata Motors to add 25,000 chargers in partnership with 13 leading charging point operators over the next 12 months
- Fleet Edge integration will provide real-time navigation and charger availability for seamless access
- 10,000+ Ace EVs deployed, covering 6 crore km, boosting confidence in Tata’s growing e-SCV lineup
Recently, Tata Motors stated they had partnered with 13 leading charging point operators (CPOs) to enhance the charging infrastructure for electric small commercial vehicles (e-SCVs). They will install and operate an additional 25,000 public charging stations in India over the next 12 months.
The company recently signed Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) with CPOs: A Plus Charge, Ampvolts, chargeMOD, Charge Zone, Electric Fuel, Envo The Sustainer, EV Spot Charge, Kazam, Nikol EV, Sonik Mobility, Thunderplus Solutions, Volttic, and Zeon Electric. Together, these organizations will work on top of the 25,000 public chargers already available for Tata’s electric small commercial vehicles.
To provide uninterrupted access to charging points, Tata Motors is integrating all charging points - whether new or existing - onto its connected vehicle platform, Fleet Edge. Customers will obtain live updates on the availability of chargers and help with navigation.

Tata Motors Commercial Vehicles Vice President & Business Head - SCVPU, Pinaki Haldar stated, "This partnership with India's leading Charging Point Operators underscores our dedication to building a robust support network and enabling profitable, zero-emission logistics for entrepreneurs and transporters across the country".
Tata Motors has over 10,000 Tata Ace EVs across its fleet and collectively the fleet has traveled over six crore kilometers on Indian roads. "We are seeing growing confidence among customers and transporters in the benefits of using four-wheel electric commercial vehicles", added Haldar.
At present, Tata Motors has an e-SCV portfolio, which includes the Ace Pro EV, Ace EV and Ace EV 1000, catering to a diverse range of last-mile urban and semi-urban cargo, while contributing to India’s sustainable transition to mobility.
