
Indo-German Chamber Signs Key Deals on MSME & Skilling
- IGCC, GTTI, and MEPZ to set up a Skill Development Centre for advanced machining
- Centre offers short-term CNC programs and long-term high-precision manufacturing courses
- IGCC partners with Andhra Pradesh MSME to boost skills and German-based training
The IGCC has formalised two strategic initiatives targeting MSME Development and Skills Development through the signing of two MoUs by GTTI, MEPZ, and an S8 organisation, which comprises of shareholders who are IGCC members and the German Busness Group, Chennai.
The Indo-German Chamber of Commerce advances MSME cooperation India Germany and skilling partnership India Germany through IGCC agreements, MSME deals IGCC, and Indo-German skilling initiatives.
The Skill Development Centre will be established in MEPZ, Tambaram, and will have structured training pathways for professionals involved in advanced machining and engineering fields.
MEPZ has set aside a 30,000 sq. ft. facility for the organisation of workshops, CNC laboratories, simulation units, and training bases. In the first phase, the centre will provide short-term, industry-specific training on a variety of subjects: CNC machining; CNC lathe and milling operations; CNC programming; ANSYS simulation; and CAM using Mastercam.
The second phase of the project will provide students with long-term). Sectors that are experiencing significant global skill shortages will be able to benefit from specialised, domain-specific education programs focused on high-precision manufacturing.

The second initiative of this project was the signing of a Letter of Intent (LOI) by the International Group of Companies Consortium, or IGCC, and the Andhra Pradesh MSME Development Corporation (AP MSMEDC) to promote and develop the MSME sector in Andhra Pradesh. During the signing ceremony, the LOI was presented to the Honourable Kondapalli Srinivas, Minister for MSME.
“We are creating ecosystem for SME units. We are developing over 175 MSME parks. We are creating sector based parks primary focusing on medical equipment. We got large industries and we will align the small units with them”, said Andhra Pradesh’s MSME Minister.
“Indo-German trade and manufacturing in India are booming. IGCC aims to facilitate and improvise the existing bonhomie between the two countries. These partnerships demonstrate our commitment to advancing industrial potential and developing skilled talent that will define future growth of our country”, added Ranjit Pratap, Chairman, Southern Region Council, IGCC.
In addition to the promotion of German companies entering into the Indian market, the focus of this initiative will be on the development and delivery of complete technical training in accordance with a German-developed Curriculum and the establishment of Technical Training Centres to improve the level of industrial skill development in the State of Andhra Pradesh.
