The disturbance of shipping routes, especially through the Strait of Hormuz, is a matter of great concern, given that this corridor represents a major part of the world trade in oil and gas. European leaders also exchanged views on ways to protect shipping in the area, such as making contributions to EU naval operations.

The conversation demonstrated a common concern of keeping uninterrupted the global energy supplies and ensuring safe maritime transportation while the situation was escalating. Besides the war, the dialogues revealed an increasing agreement between India and the EU on sharing the world's power in different poles.

Jaishankar remarked that the recent interactions, in particular, high-level visits earlier this year, have been significant point of India-EU relations as both sides have focused on the development of a broader cooperation strategy in the areas of security and economy. In short, the trip illustrates India's active diplomatic efforts aimed at engaging geopolitically while simultaneously protecting national interests, such as energy security and uninterrupted trade, during a time of worldwide crisis.
