Jaishankar Seeks Stronger India-Panama Strategic Ties

Dr. S. Jaishankar, India’s External Affairs Minister, had bilateral talks with Panama’s Foreign Minister Javier Martínez-Acha in order to enhance the relationship between India and Panama, and the areas under discussion were the increasing cooperation in the areas of trade, maritime, digital, connectivity, and multilateral engagements. This visit is indicative of the common interest that exists between both the nations for widening their bilateral relations and finding new areas of cooperation.

The two ministers assessed the state of affairs in India-Panama relations and confirmed their intent on developing cooperation through sustained dialogue at the highest level. They recognized the growth in bilateral relations in the recent past and underscored the need to develop partnerships in key sectors. Both parties recognized that enhanced cooperation will help increase economic resilience and create business opportunities.
