Solex Energy Limited divulged recently that it has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with ISC Konstanz from Germany for the purpose of advanced research and technological collaboration in solar cell production.

Both the companies have formed a solar partnership to advance solar cell manufacturing and solar technology in India, promoting renewable energy, clean energy, sustainability, and green energy development.

The alliance represents a major achievement in the Vision 2030 by Solex which plans to see a valuation of ₹1 lakh crore, put in approximately ₹12,500 crore ($1.5 billion) and offer 25,000 jobs in India, part of the more than 200,000 jobs created in the country.

In the context of this agreement, the German ISC Konstanz will come to the rescue by providing the technical know-how aimed at the improvement of the coming Solex TOPCon solar cell line and also helping with the establishment of an in-house R&D equipped with patent-protected technologies from ISC.

Our focus is not just on scaling capacity but on delivering unmatched value through efficiency, reliability and performance".

Dr Radovan Kopeček, Head of Department Strategy and Education, ISC Konstanz added, "Our partnership with Solex Energy brings us closer to making clean solar energy accessible and affordable for all".

In the context of Vision 2030, Solex intends to set up solar module and cell manufacturing capacities of 10 GW each. The company, which is based in Surat, has a 4 GW PV module plant in Tadkeshwar, Gujarat, and has just moved from NSE Emerge to the NSE Main Board—this move indicates its increasing size and commitment to sustainable energy innovation in India.
