Juniper Green Energy, a subsidiary of Singapore-based AT Capital Group, has announced that it has signed a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with Tata Power for a 70 MW firm and dispatchable renewable energy (FDRE) project through its subsidiary, Juniper Green Sigma Eight.

Both companies signed a PPA for a 70MW project, advancing renewable energy and sustainable power in India. The firm and dispatchable renewable initiative strengthens the clean energy landscape and supports growth in the India energy sector.

As per the announcement, the project will be sited in Maharashtra, and will harness several kinds of renewable technologies, specifically solar, wind and a Battery Energy Storage System (BESS).

The project will be designed to provide a total of 180 MWp of renewable capacity and another 280 MWh of BESS for stable energy delivery to the grid, with energy delivery starting on September 22, 2027.

Ankush Malik, Chief Executive Officer, Juniper Green Energy stated, "We are proud to partner with Tata Power on this FDRE project. This PPA demonstrates our capability to undertake and deliver renewable projects that allows us to align with the country’s goal for sustainable and reliable power".

This partnership comes after Juniper Green's first engagement with NHPC in June 2025 to deliver a 250 MW FDRE project for renewable power delivery to the state of Haryana. The agreement with Tata Power reinforces Juniper Green's position as one of the top renewable energy developers in India.

Juniper Green Energy is currently developing utility scale solar, wind and hybrid renewable energy projects and has an operational capacity of 1.45 GWp (as of June 2025) and continues its commitment to sustainable growth and advancing the clean energy transition in India.
