Wheels India, a manufacturer of auto components, has announced recently that it has entered into a technical agreement with the South Korean company SHPAC, a recognized manufacturer of hydraulic cylinders. The agreement will be a technology transfer that will enhance Wheels India’s hydraulics business and product capabilities in this niche area.

Based on regulatory company filings, hydraulic cylinders are a strategic growth engine for the business going forward. Wheels India is looking to increase its hydraulics footprint and to use SHPAC’s technology and advanced know-how to scale up its hydraulics offering as a key pillar for the future direction of a global business.

At present, Wheels India supplies wheels to the international construction equipment market and has been persistently growing its reach within Europe and North America. The company has a diversified range of products such as wheels for trucks, tractors, passenger cars and construction equipment. In addition, they manufacture air suspension systems, as well as industrial products for the wind energy sector.
