Steel Ministry Invites AI Startups at India AI Summit

The Ministry of Steel, together with its Central Public Sector Enterprises (CPSEs), will take part in the India AI Impact Summit 2026, which takes place from 16 to 20 February at Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi.

The Ministry has established a dedicated stall at the Summit to display essential mining and steel industry problems which AI start-ups and innovators can use to create solutions that improve efficiency, productivity, sustainability and safety throughout the steel production process.

The Ministry of Steel AI participated in the India AI Impact Summit to engage with AI startups India, promoting steel industry innovation, Industry 4.0 steel, and digital manufacturing while fostering AI in steel sector through government startup collaboration.

The initiative supports the Hon’ble Prime Minister's goal to use Artificial Intelligence for accelerating India's industrial development, establishing technological dominance and driving innovation-based economic progress.

The Ministry plans to tackle actual industry problems by connecting emerging technology companies with industry experts, which will lead to valuable partnerships that will enhance digital and technological development in the steel industry.

The platform invites AI start-ups and innovators to develop solutions which advance India's goal of becoming a self-sufficient country through technological progress and innovative development.

The Summit will feature Secretary (Steel), who will lead an interactive session with AI start-ups together with Chairpersons and Managing Directors from CPSEs, including Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL) and NMDC Limited. The session is designed to encourage participation and promote AI-driven solutions tailored to the steel and mining sector's needs.

The Ministry aims to establish partnerships through this engagement, which will enable AI-driven innovation and transformation of the steel industry in India while positioning innovators as essential elements of an industrial ecosystem that will achieve future technological independence.
