Three South Indian Medtech Startups Get Israel Launchpad

BioCipher Labs, Prodancy and Mykare.ai won HealthSprint 2026, earning a fully funded Israel immersion. The programme will expose the South Indian medtech startups to clinical validation, healthcare innovation, investment and global market opportunities.

Three South Indian medtech startup: BioCipher Labs, Prodancy and Mykare.ai, have been selected as winners of HealthSprint 2026, an India-Israel healthcare innovation initiative designed to help emerging companies strengthen their businesses, improve investment readiness and expand into global markets.

The programme is a joint initiative of the Consulate General of Israel in Bengaluru and Bengaluru-based technology startup accelerator GINSERV. The three winners were selected after shortlisted startups presented their solutions before mentors, investors and healthcare experts from India and Israel.

Bengaluru-based BioCipher Labs is developing AI-powered molecular diagnostics, positioning the startup in the growing intersection of artificial intelligence and clinical diagnostics. Prodancy, also based in Bengaluru, has developed an indigenous surgical helmet for joint replacement procedures, with the aim of reducing dependence on imported consumables. Kochi-based Mykare.ai has built an AI-native patient management platform designed for clinics and smaller hospitals.

As part of the recognition, the three startups will receive a fully funded, week-long immersive programme in Israel. The initiative will provide exposure to Israel’s healthcare and innovation ecosystem while enabling the founders to explore clinical validation, potential partnerships, investment opportunities and pathways for international expansion.

HealthSprint 2026 attracted 175 applications, with 15 startups shortlisted across three categories — Diagnose, Treat and Manage. The finalists subsequently pitched their solutions to a panel comprising investors, mentors and industry specialists from both countries.

The programme also brings a strong focus on clinical validation and commercial readiness. Israel’s established health-tech ecosystem offers Indian startups access to healthcare institutions, innovation networks and expertise that can help them assess the effectiveness and scalability of their technologies.

Max Shmagin, Deputy Consul General of Israel for South India in Bengaluru, highlighted the potential of India-Israel healthcare collaboration to help innovative solutions achieve greater scale across both markets. GINSERV COO Girish Hiremath said the initiative provides Indian founders with direct exposure to Israel’s capabilities in clinical validation.

The HealthSprint initiative reflects growing India-Israel cooperation in healthcare innovation and provides the three startups with a platform to move from domestic development towards international validation and market expansion.
