
India, Germany Explore Quantum, Space Tech Cooperation

The discussions took place during a high-level meeting in New Delhi between Union Minister of State for Science and Technology Jitendra Singh and a German delegation led by Mario Voigt, Minister-President of the Free State of Thuringia.
The meeting brought together representatives from government agencies, research institutions, and industry bodies from both nations to identify opportunities for deeper engagement in advanced technologies. Key areas of discussion included quantum communication networks, quantum satellite communication, photonics, space research, and emerging deep-tech sectors that are expected to play a critical role in future economic growth and technological competitiveness.
Welcoming the delegation, Jitendra Singh emphasized that science, technology, innovation, and people-to-people connections remain central pillars of the India-Germany partnership. He noted that scientific cooperation has emerged as one of the strongest dimensions of bilateral engagement and continues to create opportunities for joint research, innovation, and industrial collaboration.
