The discussions placed particular emphasis on expanding cooperation in trade and investment, science and technology, and emerging areas such as artificial intelligence. Education and cultural exchanges were also included in the agenda, reflecting the countries' interest in strengthening institutional and public-level engagement.

Both sides exchanged views on regional and international developments and issues of shared interest. The consultations provide a regular diplomatic platform for reviewing ongoing initiatives, identifying opportunities for cooperation and discussing matters requiring continued engagement.

The previous round of India-Armenia Foreign Office Consultations was held in Yerevan on November 8, 2025, and was also co-chaired by George and Safaryan. During that meeting, the two countries discussed bilateral relations and cooperation in multilateral forums. They also signed an agreement on cooperation in public health and medical science between India's Ministry of Health and Family Welfare and Armenia's Ministry of Health. Both sides had agreed to hold the subsequent round in India in 2026.

Defence cooperation has continued to feature prominently in the bilateral relationship. On October 23, 2026, India and Armenia held a Joint Working Group Meeting on Defence Cooperation in Hyderabad, Telangana. Officials discussed defence collaboration, industrial partnerships and other security-related matters.
