Jakson‍‌‍‍‌‍‌‍‍‌ Group, an Indian engineering and infrastructure conglomerate of repute, is set to make an ₹8,000 crore investment to build a 6 GW integrated solar manufacturing facility in Madhya Pradesh, a move that spells a considerable addition to India's renewable energy ecosystem. The central part of the project is Maksi, where it was a rustled unveiled by the Chief Minister Mohan Yadav putting the first brick for its inauguration on Sunday, indicating the state's pledge to green industrial growth and energy self-reliance in line with the Aatmanirbhar Bharat initiative.

The very first movement, funded with ₹2,000 crore, is going to initiate 3 GW of solar cell production and 4 GW of module manufacturing capacity and will hire local youth for 1,700 skilled jobs. The entire plant will, in fact, include the next three years of each stage of the solar value chain ingot, wafer, cell, and module with a capacity of 6 GW and a further 4,000 jobs to be generated. With such a complete integration, Madhya Pradesh is set to become a major clean energy production center benefitting from the state's solid infrastructure, logistics networks, and skilled workforce and thus helping in the state to progress technologically and lessen the dependence on imports.
