Nuuk, Zetwerk Partner to Expand Appliance Manufacturing
- Nuuk has partnered with Zetwerk to expand manufacturing in India and increase localisation of its home appliance products

The home appliance brand Nuuk has established a manufacturing partnership with Zetwerk that will last for multiple years to support its goal of increasing production operations in India while developing local manufacturing capabilities for its entire home appliance product line.
The Nuuk Zetwerk partnership strengthens Nuuk home appliances India expansion by leveraging Zetwerk manufacturing services for selected categories, supporting home appliance manufacturing India and contract manufacturing India initiatives.
This manufacturing partnership India aims to scale Zetwerk appliance production, boost consumer electronics manufacturing India, and drive Nuuk India expansion, contributing to Make in India manufacturing, home appliance industry India, and overall Indian appliance market growth.
The partnership seeks to enhance local manufacturing capacities while enabling Nuuk to achieve sustainable expansion throughout the Indian marketplace.
Zetwerk will handle the production process for specific product lines which include fans and heaters according to the contract. The two companies will develop a staged approach to product manufacturing which will enable them to enhance production capabilities while developing local supply networks.
Nuuk appointed Sanjiv Rangrass who serves as a non-executive independent director at Zetwerk to function as its Make-in-India advisor through the partnership. His duties involve directing the company’s initiatives for building local manufacturing capacity through the development of its localization plan.

Nuuk Co-Founders Gazal Kalra and Shalabh Gupta said the company aims to develop robust manufacturing capabilities in India to support product development and large-scale production.

To do that at scale, we believe we need manufacturing in India that can match our ambition for quality, speed and innovation”.

Rahul Sharma, who serves as Managing Director of Precision Business Electronics at Zetwerk, stated that the collaboration will establish advanced production facilities throughout India.
He said, “Nuuk represents a new generation of Indian consumer brands that are investing early in manufacturing depth. It is taking a long-term view on how products are designed, built and scaled in India. The partnership extends our shared approach towards building production in India”.
The partnership will also include new product development, pilot manufacturing programmes, and testing facilities to support local innovation and manufacturing expansion.
