Prime Minister Narendra Modi will hold bilateral talks with Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk in New Delhi on October 22, 2026, as India and Poland seek to strengthen their strategic partnership and expand cooperation across trade, defence and emerging technologies. Tusk will visit India from October 21 to 23 at Modi’s invitation, accompanied by Poland’s Minister of Finance and Economy, Andrzej Domański, and a business delegation.
During the meeting, the two leaders are expected to review the full range of India-Poland relations and exchange views on regional and global developments of mutual interest. Their discussions will build on the strategic partnership established during Modi’s visit to Poland in August 2024.

The visit is expected to advance cooperation in trade and investment, defence, emerging technologies, renewable energy, education, culture and people-to-people exchanges. Both countries are seeking to identify additional opportunities for economic engagement and strengthen their broader diplomatic relationship.
Business engagement will be a key component of Tusk’s visit. An India-Poland Business Forum is scheduled to take place in New Delhi on October 22 and in Bengaluru on October 23. The forums are expected to bring together business representatives to explore investment opportunities and encourage commercial partnerships between the two countries.
Tusk will also travel to Bengaluru to meet business stakeholders, including representatives from the information technology and space sectors. The engagements are intended to create opportunities for collaboration in areas where both countries have growing industrial and technological interests.
This will be Tusk’s second visit to India as Poland’s prime minister. His previous visit in that capacity took place in 2010, while he also travelled to New Delhi in 2017 as president of the European Council for the India-European Union Summit.
