Synopsis:  Madhya Pradesh partners with Google Cloud to build AI-powered governance systems and develop Smart Simhastha 2028, focusing on crowd management, public safety, digital services, and real-time citizen support.

The Madhya Pradesh government has partnered with Google Cloud to accelerate AI-driven governance initiatives and strengthen preparations for Simhastha 2028, one of India’s largest religious gatherings. The collaboration aims to deploy advanced artificial intelligence technologies to improve administrative efficiency, public service delivery, and large-scale event management across the state.

Chief Minister Mohan Yadav held discussions with senior Google Cloud India officials regarding the integration of AI-based systems into governance and infrastructure planning. As part of the initiative, the state plans to establish a Centre of Excellence in Indore to support AI innovation, research, skill development, and technology deployment. Officials stated that the centre is expected to connect and train more than 10,000 AI developers while providing technical support for government projects and digital transformation programmes.

A major focus of the partnership is the development of Smart Simhastha 2028 in Ujjain. The proposed AI-powered framework will include real-time crowd monitoring, predictive traffic management, emergency response systems, public safety analytics, and digital infrastructure coordination. Authorities believe these technologies will help manage millions of pilgrims more efficiently while improving security, mobility, and overall event operations.

Google Cloud India has also introduced plans for multilingual AI support tools, including a voice-enabled digital assistant designed to help visitors with navigation, crowd updates, emergency alerts, and public information in regional languages. The state government expects these systems to improve accessibility and citizen engagement during large-scale public events.

Beyond Simhastha preparations, the collaboration extends to sectors such as agriculture, healthcare, education, policing, wildlife conservation, and women and child development. Proposed AI applications include predictive healthcare systems, AI-powered farmer advisory services, digital learning platforms, smart policing tools, and automated grievance management systems.

The partnership reflects Madhya Pradesh’s broader strategy to position itself as a technology-driven governance hub through responsible and citizen-centric AI adoption. Officials believe the initiative will strengthen the state’s digital infrastructure while creating new opportunities for innovation, research, and AI talent development.
