
PM Modi to Launch ₹17,900 Crore Projects in Andhra
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will launch ₹17,900 crore worth of projects in Andhra Pradesh, including a new international airport and semiconductor initiatives, before inaugurating the Viveka Smaraka Youth Centre in Mysuru.
PM Narendra Modi is expected to pay a visit to Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka this Saturday, during which he will inaugurate, dedicate, and lay the foundation stones of developmental works that will cost more than ₹17,900 crore. These developmental projects range across various essential sectors such as aviation, semiconductors, renewables, and power transmission, roads, and youth development.
Andhra Pradesh will witness the inauguration of Alluri Sitarama Raju International Airport at Bhogapuram in the district of Vizianagaram by the Prime Minister of India. Constructed at the cost of about ₹4,700 crores, the green field airport is likely to make a substantial contribution towards enhancing the air connectivity in North Andhra Pradesh, boost tourism and aid in the development of the economy of the region.

In addition, during the visit, PM Modi will inaugurate several strategic infrastructure projects and also lay the foundation stones of various industrial projects. The list includes the establishment of the first ever semiconductor fabrication plant of Andhra Pradesh, energy-related projects, projects related to the power sector, and construction of road infrastructure projects. Together, these projects are anticipated to attract investments, create job opportunities, boost manufacturing activities, and further India’s goal of technology self-reliance and sustainable economic development.
In addition, there will be other programs which are aimed at youth development and improvement of their skills, indicating that the government is committed to providing them with opportunities related to employment, entrepreneurship, and innovation. These programs will not only enhance the industrial competitiveness but also ensure economic development in the state of Andhra Pradesh in the future.
Later during the day, PM Narendra Modi will visit Mysuru in Karnataka state and will inaugurate the Swami Vivekananda Cultural Youth Center Viveka Smaraka at Sri Ramakrishna Ashrama. This center is established with an aim to promote the philosophy and ideals of Swami Vivekananda in matters of youth empowerment, value-based education, cultural consciousness, and character development.

This visit marks the Centre’s continuing commitment towards infrastructure-led development and balanced development in the regions. Investment in aviation, advanced manufacturing, renewable energy, and infrastructure will increase competitiveness, improve connectivity, and generate employment opportunities. At the same time, the inauguration of the cultural youth centre shows that the government intends to promote spirituality and culture of India along with nation-building efforts.
With the execution of projects in various industries, it is anticipated that the Prime Minister's visit will aid in improving Andhra Pradesh’s industry environment, Karnataka’s cultural and education environment, and ultimately India’s larger vision for sustainable and technological development.
